The Nurseís Office at CCE is a busy place, averaging 50 student visits per day. Nursing services include, but are not limited to: acute illness assessment, chronic disease management, emergency planning, medication administration, monitoring immunization compliance, rendering first aid, and completion of state mandated health screenings. The following highlights are provided for your information:
Medicine must be delivered by a parent/guardian in the original container with full prescribing information attached and a completed Permission for Medication form (link below). No more than a 30 day supply of controlled substances will be accepted, and must be in the most recent bottle.
A doctorís signature is required for prescription medicine.† They may sign the Permission for Medication form or you may submit a copy of the prescription. Over-the-counter medications may be administered with a parentís signature.
